The Best Vancouver Weather is...
...in spring, summer, fall and winter. Hmm that doesn't help narrow that Vancouver weather forecast down now does it? Let's see if I can do a little better with a general look at Vancouver’s seasons. But first, if you're looking for what's happening right now: Today's Weather in Vancouver

Spring – Flowers and Showers A Vancouver spring tends to be showery, but what is better than a rainbow after a shower, touching down amid the blossoming cherry trees? Spring flowers, from early crocuses and daffodils to later tulips and hyacinth, abound from March through June. You will see colour everywhere you turn. And Vancouver is much less crowded with other sightseers. Spring in Vancouver is peaceful and quiet, a great time to come. Take your umbrella with you, but you won’t always need it. A light jacket will still be a good idea, especially early in the season to protect you from any random Vancouver weather changes.
Summer SunshineHot, dry, sunny and busy! The city is full of sight-seers, but the weather is usually perfect for spending time outdoors. A sunny summer day walking beside Vancouver's Granville Island.
Summer is the perfect time to kick back on the beach and work on that tan - remember sunscreen! The beaches will get busy with out-of-town visitors and residents alike busy soaking up the sun. Or take a break from the heat and go hiking in the nearby wilderness parks (mind the mosquitoes!)
Fall – Colourful Autumn Leaves Starts slowly with a warm September moving into a chilly and showery October and November. Don’t forget an umbrella and a jacket…Plan to spend more time inside, but don’t miss the colourful autumn leaves falling from the trees along the streets. Fall is a great time to cycle through the side streets, but you might want to plan for a hot shower and cup of cocoa afterwards! A beautiful sunny fall day on the seawall on the way to Stanley Park (in the background behind the expensive yachts).
Winter – Christmas RainMeans Christmas lights, glittering through the rain. A green Christmas is the most festive in my opinion, but that's just because I grew up on the wet West Coast. A break in the clouds, though the fog still covers the mountains behind downtown Vancouver.
Vancouver weather in winter tends to be a bit damp and dreary in the city, but snow-sports abound on the nearby ski-hills. And every year we get a day or two of snow in the city to whiten the look (until it turns to slush) and to cause some traffic chaos. An umbrella or other rain-gear is essential. Temperatures hover near freezing and a few degrees above, so a sweater and jacket is also a good idea.
