Favourite Vancouver Things
Come take a trip to Vancouver with me.
I'd like to share with you what makes this city so special and why it's my favourite place. Let's spend some time exploring together.
Vancouver...
... is gorgeous scenery. The ocean is right next door on one side and mountains tower high on the other.
Canada's third largest city is tucked between the Coastal mountains and the Pacific ocean. I've lived here since I was 2 and it's the best place in the world.
| ... is laid-back and relaxed.
Enjoy the casual west coast atmosphere. Accepting, multicultural, and eco-conscious.
You're welcome here any time.
We Vancouverites don't take ourselves too seriously. A smile a day is essential.
At the corner of Denman and Davie you will find a collection of bronze statues to illustrate that very principle: A-maze-ing Laugher.

Also, Vancouver...
... has delicious ethnic restaurants from around the world.
If you can think of the place, you can find a restaurant here to serve the cuisine.
... has fun shopping. You will find local artists working with paint, glass, fabric, wood, even cast iron.
Souvenirs can be very unique! As well, you'll find interesting clothes, playful shoes, neat toys, and a lot more.
Here I am at a favourite shopping spot on Granville Island. It's a relaxing day checking out local artists from painters to sculptors to fibre artists to glass-blowers.
And then there's the gourmet food at the Public Market, the widest variety of local and exotic foods in the city.
I'm relaxing outside after a very tasty picnic, watching the kayakers paddle past in False Creek.
And then Vancouver...
... has wonderful attractions to visit from unusually beautiful parks to educational museums. A multicultural city means lots of beautiful things to look at and learn.
... is within 30 minutes of every outdoor recreation you can think of. Kayak in Indian Arm in the morning. Hike at Cypress Mountain in the afternoon. Or sail, snowshoe, golf, ski, bike, snowboard, surf or fish.
Being outdoors becomes an addiction quickly in Vancouver.
| You are in the depths of the city one moment.

Head outside the city in a few minutes - half an hour gets you to the middle of nowhere in a deep forest with just you, the sky, and a few trees.
